NATWEST EWIF AWARDS 2020

Here at EWIF, we focus our time and energy on supporting women who are looking for a route into the franchising industry. Our mission is to educate, inspire and empower and one way we do this is by hosting an Annual Awards Ceremony celebrating the achievements of women across the franchising industry.

Our 2020 awards took place on Wednesday 21st October at their first ever virtual event. The atmosphere was electric, and now, after all the excitement, we are extremely proud to announce the winners for this year’s NatWest EWIF awards, and would like to thank everyone who entered and attended!

EWIF Awards 2020 Key Note Speaker:

Brandie Deignan

Our keynote speaker this year is Brandie Deignan, Managing Director of Marco Pierre White Restaurants. Spearheading the growth of the business, Brandie ensures all venues deliver a consistent and high-end service that guests expect from one of the world’s most famous and charismatic chefs and restaurateurs.

Brandie describes herself as one-part business leader, two-parts mum and three-parts all things hospitality. She fell in love with the hospitality industry when she initially joined the sector ‘temporarily’. Circa 19 years on, she has enjoyed a diverse career working in hotels, restaurants, retail and aviation within single, multiple and national senior leadership roles at Hilton PLC, Whitbread Restaurants PLC, Tesco PLC and most recently British Airways PLC. She now leads the 50-strong Marco Pierre White Restaurants business which includes eight restaurant concepts under the MPW brand.

Strongly informed by her experience across a wide array of hospitality disciplines that relate to her field of expertise, Brandie is specifically interested in how social changes and women in leadership subtly influence the sector. She has recently been announced as one of the finalists in the 2020 Black British Business Awards (Consumer and Leisure Snr Leader) and most recently voted no 41 of the Top 50 listening leaders. Brandie is passionate about gender equality and all things business.
