Rebecca Robyns, one of the owners of InXpress Hull, has recently been able to fulfil her lifelong ambition and set up her own charity, EYE See Me. Alongside running her own business, Rebecca is able to pursue her passion for photography and use it for a great cause. She spends a huge amount of time in South East Asia visiting disadvantaged children and connecting and educating them through photography.
Rebecca’s EYE See Me project aims to encourage creative expression in children. She gained 10 cameras from an extremely kind donor and uses them to teach children aged 6-16 basic camera skills and to allow them to photograph their daily lives and reflect on the photos meaning to them.
Having developed her business to a level she was happy with, Rebecca was ready to find a new challenge and further pursue her love of photography. At the same time, she found she could make a difference to the lives of children who have been orphaned or who cannot afford to go to school. She is now able to leave the daily running of her business to others so that her time is free to pursue her passions.
