Hello and welcome to 

EWiF South.

As Chair of this regional EWiF group, I extend a warm welcome to all of you interested in attending EWiF meetings whether existing members or friends/ family/ colleagues and contacts who may find EWiF meetings beneficial. As well as offering support and advice, EWiF meetings are also a great way to network and make contacts with others in the franchising industry. We embrace diverse attendance by women and men at our meetings as the franchise industry can only benefit from active participation.

We hold approximately 3 meetings each year at varying locations within the South so why not attend one near you to find out more about EWiF.

I am passionate about the work that EWiF does in promoting franchising particularly to assist women. I believe the franchise industry promotes a unique relationship between those who work within it, whether franchisor, franchisee or service provider. EWiF and its Ambassadors seek to create a deeper and broader understanding of this special relationship which in turn assists those parties to achieve their common goals for success. EWiF encourages all to participate in this inclusive industry with great people! I seek to combine the mission of EWiF in my everyday work where our legal firm has over 30 years of franchise experience assisting national and international franchisors and franchisees alike. Our members do the same.

The EWiF South quarterly meetings are always successfully interactive with attendees from all areas of the franchising industry sharing their views on topical issues in the industry. Our guest speakers share their own experiences in franchising or other interesting subjects within the franchising industry. They include bankers, franchisors, franchisees, recruitment consultants, franchise consultants, bfa members, marketing and PR services and legal services providers to date.

Bring-a-buddy
This year, we’re running a Bring-A-Buddy scheme, where we are inviting our ambassadors to invite a ‘buddy’ along to any of the EWiF meetings, to see for themselves what we’re all about. We want to encourage more women into franchising for themselves, one of the best ways we believe we can do this, is by expanding our inspirational army of EWiF Ambassadors. Connect your friends to an industry which could enhance their business, or benefit from their services, plus you could win EWiF Ambassador of the Month if your friend(s) becomes an EWiF member!

So, take a look at your inner circle or network. Who are you connected with, and what could they offer to the wider franchise community? Or, how could franchising inspire them to fulfil their true self? Then, just invite them along to the next meeting in your region. If we all invited just one person, and they, in time, invited someone else, through the power of connection EWiF’s impact could really grow in 2024!
